Educational Background

Where relaxation and rehabilitation of the body becomes...
an expedition and exploration of each individual's healthy evolvement in body, mind and spirit.

Education

Gina Da Silva-Villalobos, LMP

has been in practice on the Eastside for15 years.
A graduate from Seattle Massage School now currently Ashmead College.

She has studied with Diana Thompson ( Author of" Hands Heal"), Clint Chandler, Barb Frye, Carol Osborne-Sheets ,
James Waslaski, and Dr. Erik Dalton.
Some past courses at Bastyr College
in Seattle.
Currently takes continuing education through the Upledger Institute throughout the US and Canada and
other international workshops regarding Lymphatic Drainage ,Pain Management and Rehabilitation.

Her background includes having worked at Totem Sports Clinic, Chiropractic clinics in North Bend and
Bellevue, as well as with acupuncturist and doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Dr. Marc Chesler.

Currently she works in private practice with surgeons at their clinics and/or surgery centers on the Eastside for lymphatic drainage
to reduce swelling and soften scar tissue after surgeries. She has her own office located in Issaquah, WA.

She has successfully worked with women who have had mastectomies to assist with the reduction of post surgical edema and the
promotion of movement to the arm region within months rather than the traditional year's time without any treatment. Lymphatic Drainage
is beneficial in post-surgical recovery on many levels to accelerate cell regeneration, soothe emotional trauma and educate the patient in
self care and well being.

Gina also incorporates hydrotherapy treatments with a variety of patients to assist in the healing progression and promotes circulation
to areas of concern according to their needs. Castor oil packs also are used or suggested to promote the stimulation of the
lymph system during lymphatic drainage sessions and promote increased circulation. She strongly encourages and teaches
self care techniques to increase the healing process. Your ability to understand your healing path is crucial in the improvement of your health.

Gina is a seasoned veteran of surgical procedures which have given her real and true hands on familiarity, skill and understanding
of surgery recovery and has personally experienced great results with the current massage and lymphatic drainage techniques
she has incorporated in her practice.

Movement therapy and dance are another one of her passions to accelerate healing externally and internally. Regardless of what age one is
or skill level, exercise and movement is crucial to keep circulation and range of motion at it's best.

She is currently working on several literary projects, documentation and case studies regarding her work in order to help educate patients/clients, care providers, massage therapists, and MD's on the benefits of massage and lymphatic drainage pre and post surgery.
